HS SKATE THURSDAY JAN 8: Just a reminder that our team will skate for 5 minutes in between the 1st and 2nd periods of the HS Varsity game on Thur. The following is an email from Kristen Burggraaff....
I hope you and your team are excited about this weeks High School Varsity game and playing between the first and second periods.
This evening is a special event for your team to partake in. As the Mite team your players should were their home jerseys. This will get them into the game for free. Unfortunately all adults and supporting siblings will have to pay for entrance to the game.
As the one of the two teams playing during the Varsity Home Game you also have the opportunity to stay and watch the Prior Lake High School Varsity Hockey game. Visit the new locker rooms and receive autographs after the game. This is a special event reserved for the Prior Lake Association Teams. Coaches please have your players at the rink by 6:20pm to start the night off by visiting the new Varsity locker rooms. They do not have to have their gear on at this time.
Coaches, remember when you get this many players together there is the tendency for the players to roam. Please plan on having parent supervision throughout the evening. This is not a drop off and pick up event. Remind your players that they are not only representing themselves, but also your team and our Association. They should act appropriately at all times.
Following is the agenda for the night’s festivities:
6:20pm - Arrive and put your gear in your assigned locker room – should be listed on the board for you
6:25pm - Meet by the hallway to the locker rooms
6:25pm - Meet by the hallway to the locker rooms
6:30pm - Line up down the tunnel to “High Five” the players as they enter the ice for their practice prior to the game.
6:30pm - The Varsity Coaches will greet you at the tunnel and take you and the Traveling Host Teams to tour the new Varsity Locker room while the players are on the ice.
6:45pm- Get ready for your game
5 Min. before - Line up in the tunnel 5 minuets before the end of the first period. Line up against the left side of the hall allowing the apposing Varsity team to exit the ice. Once they have left the Prior Lake Varsity team will make a tunnel on the ice for the Mites to run through.
* If you have one parent that would like to go out on the ice and take very fast pictures they can go on the ice while the Varsity team is lining up.
Stand at the end of the tunnel and click away.
* If you have a parent that is well trained on a Cam Corder – standing up near the top of the stands is a good location for recording this event.
